My wife and I stumbled across this gem. Staff is EXCELLENT! Food is absolutely fantastic! So far, this is the only place that I have found that can cook and egg "over medium" perfectly. That alone, keeps me coming back.....and everything else.
This is a place my son has eaten at a few times, and many other people have told me that it's a great place. I agree. I had the deep-fried ribs, SP tots and the super greens. Our group of 10 all enjoyed their orders. I'll be back fo' shure!
Great place for breakfast or lunch! The atmosphere is cozy, and the wait staff are very attentive and friendly. The food was very tasty. The only issue with the waffles and chicken was that the chicken was a little over cooked and dry. Otherwise, everything else was spot on! I'll definitely try them again!
Must say the customer service was superb A-1 and the food matched the atmosphere. Make sure y'all check them out it's worth the stop.
We happened to stop here last year and was really please. We made it a point to go this past weekend and we definitely just need to make the drive more often. One of the very few restaurants that I honestly clean my plate. Our waitress being from NJ made our experience that much better! Highly recommend. I had chicken and waffles both times and I’m not even a chicken and waffles person. Waitress recommended a hot chocolate that has a liquor in it and it was amazing!! We will be back!
I live around the corner from Salt & Pepper Cafe and decided to try them out on Sunday for brunch with a friend.
We ordered one of the new appetizers (pimento cheese/bacon jam - I think - on top of a warm biscuit half) That is *definitely* worth ordering again. My friend ordered a salad and I ordered french toast and eggs. Food was good except I ordered over medium eggs and got really over easy eggs. I didn’t send them back and just ate them, but the cook should know there is a difference. Slimy egg whites aren’t really my jam.
The service was outstanding and our waitress was very attentive. She brought refills before we asked for them (something that seems more uncommon than it should be these days). My only complaint (and this is not about our server) is that the tiny table just in front of the door gets A LOT of draft. It was rainy and cold and every time someone opened the door we got a blast of cold air. I should have left my coat on to eat because it was chilly. I’m sure there isn’t much of a way around this since the dining area is pretty small so I’d probably ask next time to be seated on the perimeter of restaurant or only go on a day that is warmer so if I got seated there I wouldn’t be cold.
Restaurant doesn’t have a huge menu, but that’s okay. Sometimes less is definitely more!
All-in-all, the food was good, the server was great. I would go back.
Really it was just like any diner but the food was exceptionally good. Even something as simple as kids tender and fries. My kids are normally a handful of bites type kids but they finished each of their own dishes here. It was good hearty portions as well. Would highly recommend. Didn’t have a single thing less than phenomenal come to our table.
This is by far the best place for breakfast in GA! Yes I said GA 🙌🏽
All I know is get the catfish & grits special 🤤
Those banana foster waffles are pretty amazing too
